Another lounge renovation started today.

The ceilings are down, the existing floor is coming out, and it’ll be reinstated with a damp proof membrane and insulation before the new floor goes back in.

A lot of the important work happens at the start of a renovation, setting everything up properly for the finished result.

The stone is back in, compacted, and sand blinding has been completed. Everything is now ready for the DPM (damp proof membrane) to go down before the concrete subfloor is poured.

Good progress on our Stoke St Gregory renovation.

The old lath and plaster ceiling is now down, render has been removed from the walls, and the floor is being dug down to the correct levels ready to be reinstated.

Not the most glamorous stage of a renovation, but an important one that sets everything up properly for the work to follow.

We started a new job in Stoke St Gregory this week.

The existing suspended floor is coming out and being replaced with a solid insulated floor, while the walls are being taken back to brick and damp proofed.

A lot of preparation work at this stage, but it sets the project up properly and makes a huge difference in the long run.
