🔎 Locating a deeply buried manhole
Today, Valley Drains used specialist CCTV and locating equipment to pinpoint a manhole buried beneath a concrete driveway.
After marking the exact position, we cut through the concrete and began excavating by hand. It soon became clear that the manhole was buried too deeply for practical hand excavation.
We’re now preparing a revised quotation to return with a mechanical digger, safely expose the chamber and raise the manhole cover to surface level for future access.
Careful investigation at the beginning helps avoid unnecessary excavation and ensures the correct equipment is used for the job.
