On Friday night I was incredibly honoured to receive an award from the Mayor of Dudley for helping the community.

When the community centre project faced difficulties and there was uncertainty over funding, I made the decision to continue and complete the works because I believed the community deserved to have its centre back.

This project means a great deal to me and I am proud that we were able to help bring it back to life.

A huge thank you to everyone at the centre, especially Bec, Tracey and TJay. The amount of time, effort and care they put into the centre and the local community is incredible. They work tirelessly to make a real difference and it has been an absolute pleasure to work alongside them.

I also want to say a massive thank you to my whole team. without their hard work, commitment and willingness to go above and beyond, none of this would have been possible.

This award is not just for me, it is for everyone who helped make this possible. Thank you all.
