e designed to specifically overcome the problem of double glazing windows in a heritage building situation where no provision is made for glazing other than the original. No modification to the existing fabric of the building is required as the Insulead glazing fits where the original was located, and is made using only traditional materials. Our Steelyte opening casements incorporate a PVC edging in order to protect the stonework. Made of steel throughout, they have been designed to look like and have the benefits of traditional metal windows, whilst offering the absolute best of insulating properties.

🏡 A little piece of Calder Valley history…

We were recently trusted to replace the windows at a beautiful historic property in the Calder Valley, a building with centuries of local history and some fascinating stories attached to it.

The property dates back to the 17th century and has connections to one of Yorkshire’s most infamous chapters: the Cragg Vale Coiners.

Our job was a little less dramatic than theirs… 😄
We carefully replaced the windows, helping to improve the property’s performance and appearance while respecting the character of this remarkable old building.

Another heritage project we’re incredibly proud to have been involved with.

🏰 Preserving History, Improving Performance – Before and After ✨

We recently had the privilege of replacing the windows at this beautiful historic Grade 1 Listed home in Carlisle.

Dating back to the early 15th century, This is a remarkable example of a Cumbrian pele tower, built during the Anglo-Scottish Border period and has stood for over 600 years reflecting its exceptional historical and architectural significance.

Working on a building of this importance requires care, precision and respect for its heritage. Our team replaced the windows with carefully selected heritage appropriate units that enhance the buildings performance while preserving its historic character. Not only that but we manufactured and fitted our smallest Steelyte opening casement.

It’s always rewarding to help protect buildings like this for future generations while improving comfort and energy efficiency. We’re proud to have played a small part in the ongoing story of this incredible piece of Cumbrian history.

We recently had the privilege of working on this beautiful house, a stunning Grade II Listed property dating back to 1742.

Projects like this are always special, preserving the character of historic buildings while improving comfort and thermal efficiency requires a careful, considered approach.

We installed our bespoke double glazing system, specifically designed for listed and heritage properties. Allowing homeowners to enjoy improved thermal performance, all while maintaining the original appearance and charm that makes buildings like this so unique.
