Day 2 - The Building Limes Forum Annual Gathering
Day 2 kicked off with Dave Wiggins presenting his updated thoughts on grouting wet walls and suggesting an update to the Damp Towers Project.
Rachid followed with a very interesting case study on hot mix cocciopesto on the internal and external elevations of a straw bale house in Arles, France.
Richard Ball presented his students research on pozzolans at the University of Bath
Tom Pollard took us through his Culm journey from home making and burning, to the double burn and then briefed on the projects he is and will be working on in 2024/25.
Then over to my colleague Liz Laycock to present on the black ash mortars (or not…) that we have been working with at our Bower Springs project in Sheffield
