I've now retired from beekeeping and am having more fun selling off all of my hives and beekeeping equipment. The live bees went to good homes last year.

I am meeting lots of lovely people, some established beekeepers, and others just started the hobby or planning to, and I still can't stop talking BEES! I will miss all of my customers and selling my honey was one of the highlights of the year. I'm still involved with the Secret Garden Group where I had my apiary and that has been taken over now by a new beekeeper who has promised I can go and visit if I get withdrawal symptoms!

I am at the Secret Garden most Saturdays, so pop in and say hello if you are passing.

This coming Saturday, we are having a short Remembrance service at 11am on 11th day of the 11th month, followed by a gardening session. Please arrive by 10.45 if you plan to come.

On Saturday 2nd December from 12 noon, the Secret Garden is holding a Christmas Celebration for friends, family and neighbours, which will include childrens games, Lady Santa with a sack of presents, milk shakes and cookies for the children and mulled wine and mince pies for the adults. All FREE but we would like a donation into our buckets if you are enjoying yourselves please.

Some £5 jars available for sale now which I'm selling from home, so if you're local, just ring the doorbell when you are passing and look out for the bunting and my Honey Sale sign on the driveway. These are popular as little presents to relations and friends. When it's gone, it's gone for good because this is the last of this years honey, and I've retired from beekeeping so there won't be any next year. 3 colonies of live bees for sale in wooden National Hives on one and a half brood boxes. All have 2022 mated Queens bred by me from a previous colony. They are a beautiful golden colour and extremely calm, well mannered and healthy. This year’s honey has been taken off and they have been varroa treated. After the honey Supers were removed, they needed more room so a Super was added onto the brood-box, creating the one and a half....

I will be selling honey at St. Leonards Church gate, New Church Rd. Hove this Saturday between 10am and 2pm. Available two sizes of jars at £4 and £6 as well as cut comb rectangles and Honey Hearts both at £6.80. There is only a small amount of cut comb.
