TILT & TURN WINDOW SERVICE & ADJUSTMENT. PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE!
Everything appears to be fine apart from a slight rub at the bottom. I've marked the margins with pencil, which should be even all the way around. Because the ,margins are out in places, I will adjust, lubricate and service the window. This will help avoid any issues in the future

DOOR LOCK FAILURE CAUSED BY INCORRECT GLASS INSTALLATION!
If this glass had been installed correctly and the door had received regular maintenance, these issues could have been avoided.

The top of the door would not lock. Upon inspection, I found a failed gearbox. However, the root cause of the problem was the glass being installed incorrectly, which placed excessive stress on the locking mechanism over time.

TWO SETS OF BIFOLDS RESTORED TO PERFECT WORKING ORDER!
Its not often you see two bi-fold doors side by side, so I thought I'd share a before and after video of both in one post.

Both sets required the glass to be removed and re-packed, along with adjustments to raise the doors on their rollers.

Both bi-folds are now operating perfectly and opening and closing as they should. With normal use, they'll likely need another service in around 2-4 years, depending on wear and tear.

SLIDING SASH WINDOW REPAIR
The lower sash spring had failed, preventing the window from opening. As the upper sash was out of reach and never used, I transferred its spring to the lower sash.

The lower sash is now fully operational, restoring ventilation with no replacement parts required and saving the client both material and labour costs.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BLOWN UNITS!
The mechanism can corrode from the inside out, turning a small issue into a costly repair.

DO YOU HAVE A WINDOW STUCK SHUT?
When the handle was released and turned, nothing happened. I removed the handle and found the gearbox mechanism had worn into a round shape (should be square), indicating the gearbox needs replacing.

To avoid damaging the window I carefully removed the glass unit, opened the window and replaced the gearbox.

INCORRECTLY FITTED FIRE DOOR CLOSERS REPAIRED
8 Fire doors had door closers fitted incorrectly. The client advised they were told by the carpenter that, "they will work if the windows were open"!

See below how I professionally corrected the installation to ensure the doors close safely and operate as intended.
