The proposed design includes a single-storey rear extension, double-storey side extension, and a loft conversion. The briefing from our client was to maximize the value of the property which was being sold, so we did this by creating approximately 65% additional floor space.
On the ground floor, the extension allows for a large open living, dining, and kitchen area. The extension provides an ample amount of natural light, creating an inviting and spacious atmosphere. The rear patio area features a pergola, providing a beautiful outdoor space for relaxation and entertaining.
Moving up to the first floor, the side extension allows for additional bedrooms with attached ensuites. The design maintains pitched roofs for the double-storey side extension, ensuring the original character of the house is preserved.
Finally, the loft conversion adds another bedroom with an attached ensuite, maximizing the space within the property. The loft maintains a significant amount of storage, providing an added convenience for the homeowners.
To the front of the house, the design includes a porch, which provides a welcoming entrance. The porch complements the characteristics and features of the house, maintaining its unique identity.
Overall, the proposed design creates a spacious and functional property, which maximizes the use of space. The combination of a large living area, additional bedrooms, and an outdoor patio area provides an excellent space for modern living whilst still maintaining the original features of the house.
