After 22 years in plumbing & heating, I’ve decided to add something different to the company.
There is a huge shortage of good plumbers and heating engineers in the UK, and from my own experience, the way people are currently taught is a big part of the problem.
Colleges are often:
• Out of date
• Textbook focused
• Taught by people who haven’t been on the tools in the real world
Then apprentices are sent onto live sites where small mistakes can cause serious damage and cost thousands,which makes it very hard for companies to take chances on new people.
I’ve seen this first-hand when taking on apprentices myself.
So I’m launching ProHeat Trade Academy.
This is a real-world plumbing & heating course, taught from experience, not theory.
Who this is for:
• Young apprentices starting out
• People looking to change careers
• Improvers already in the trade
• Engineers who want to upgrade their skills or confidence
What I’ll be teaching:
• Basic plumbing done properly
• Bathrooms & install quality
• Boilers & complex heating systems
• Fault finding
• Site standards
• How to avoid costly mistakes
• How to build a good name as an engineer
This course will take you to a standard that colleges simply don’t, because it’s based on real jobs, real problems, and real solutions.
Plumbing & heating is a trade that:
• Is always in demand
• Is constantly evolving
• Pays better every year
• Will always be needed
In my opinion, it’s one of the best trades you can be in.
I’ve made every mistake you can make over the last 22 years, and I learnt the hard way.
I now run a successful plumbing & heating business, and I want to pass that knowledge on properly.

It’s built to help people learn properly from scratch or progress faster than college alone, with real-world teaching from someone on the tools.
There’s a small monthly cost, and the platform launches next week.
