Today and on behalf of Falcon Structural Repairs, I was at Christ College, which is one of the 36 colleges located at Oxford.

Christ College was originally founded in 1546 by King Henry VIII.

Having previously undertaken other structural stabilising works, on other college buildings, today Falcon Structural Repairs were tasked with undertaking a deep diamond cored hole to identify and confirm the make up and depth of the Christ College foundations.

From today's investigations we have been able to identify and confirm the original foundations are founded at a depth of 3.2m, 320cm, 3200mm or 10 ft. 6 inches, (in old money), below ground level. When you consider that these original foundations would have been excavated and laid/formed by hand only, in 1546.

Thank you to the Falcon operatives, Mark Zorba Potts, William West Walkin Whittaker & Stacey McGrath who were all involved in the core drilling investigations at Christ College, Oxford.

FYI it was Christ College Oxford that has been used as a backdrop in some of the Harry Potter films .......

This week Falcon Structural Repairs were privileged in attending the CARE Conference 2025, which was organised by the ICE.

Falcon were invited to attend the conference on Thursday, and were the main sponsor for this years CARE event, which was held at the Macdonald Bath Spa Hotel, Bath.

During the day, a short presentation to those attending this years event, was given by Falcon's Director - Mr Ross King, where attendees were given a insight into the various services, offered from Falcon's 4 offices.

It was nice to see that some of the historic structures, that formed part of guest speakers presentations, that were given throughout the day, included buildings where Falcon's specialist repair techniques, incorporating Cintec anchors, have been used.

Falcon were given the opportunity of displaying within the 'break-out' area, a display stand portraying the services that we can offer, and were able to discuss, throughout the day, and in more detail the services that we offer.

Our repair techniques and solutions can also extend to both traditional underpin and remedial piled remedies, which have been designed and specified by Falcon's in-house engineers.

By combining the specialist services that we offer, our in-house design teams we can offer a sympathetic but robust solution, incorporating traditional skills where required, to provide a effective, attractive and durable repair.

Having a Head Office in Watford, Herts and satellite regional offices in Wickford, Leatherhead and Bristol we can mobilise our site teams so that we can offer a complete remedial solution.

If you have an enquiry relating to either Cintec sock anchors and/or a Helifix remedial solution, then with Falcon Structural Repairs Limited, being approved installers of both remedial systems, then we are happy to assist.

Some of the projects that Falcon have been involved on include many historic buildings/structures comprising of Historic properties, Castles, Palaces, Churches, Monuments, Sea walls, Power Stations and many other well-known recognised landmarks, throughout the UK and Ireland.

Finally, next year Falcon Structural Repairs will be celebrating their 40th year anniversary.
