Here we have another steel fire exit door and steel framework supplied and installed by About Security for a customer in Bristol, it replaces a very rotten timber fire exit door.
This door has been made to measure and fitted with additional security deadbolts operated internally by thumb turns so no need for a key to unlock the door although the policy is to have the door locks opened first thing on opening the building and locking them last thing at night.
The furniture fitted to this door is fairly typical of what most of our customers are happy with, there are no external handles or locks visible on the outside of the door and a hold open restrictor is commonly fitted to the top of the door to prevent over opening and damage to the hinges , the hold open function is also very useful to keep the door in the open position and preventing the wind closing the door unintendingly.
Other furniture options are available and the doors are manufactured to accommodate each individual situation.
A full range of standard colors are available to choose from and delivery times are around 3 weeks from final survey to installation

A recently installed manual operation roller garage door for a customer who is converting a garage into two separate rooms.
A popular choice with some customers who are splitting the garage space for home office or other extra room but keeping the smaller section at the front of the garage for bikes, bin storage or similar use .
By having a manual roller door to replace an up and over door fits the bill as these roller doors coil typically into a10 inch square box and does not require any electrical motor or as electrical shutters it does not require any manual override facility to gain entry into the garage in the event of power failure.
These doors are individually manufactured with twin walled aluminium laths with hard resin infill to provide a very strong but compact door.
Locking is provided by a centre lock fitted within the bottom rail of the curtain with locking bars throwing outwards into the side guides when locked.
The doors operate from a spring assisted barrel assembly so operation and lifting of the door is extremely easy.

Some welded fixed security grilles installed by About Security this week to office windows in Bristol.
Welded fixed grilles are still asked for by some customers who have no requirement for access through the secured windows but do require a strong visual deterrent against forced entry plus as these grilles are manufactured from solid 20mm steel bars they cannot be cropped with bolt croppers or easily and quickly cut by thieves to gain access to the building.
If access to windows or a fire escape feature is required then we do also offer a sliding, retractable grille system as an alternative option, some customers have combinations of both types of grilles fitted at the same building to meet their various requirements.
A picture of retractable security grilles is also shown as an alternative to the fixed grilles.

Here are two steel dors installed over the last couple of weeks for customers who had experianced thieves going early Christmas shopping.
Both customers had experienced forced entry through the pedestrian side doors leading into garages, unfortunately this is not uncommon.
These steel doors we have installed for these customers will provide much greater security than timber doors or PVCU doors that they replaced.
The new steel doors have bee made to measure and fit the openings exactly, replacing standard size doors that had been packed out to fit the building openings, "one size does not fit all "
