Yeah… not in this house.

🎄 Merry Christmas from RWC Plastering! 🍺

That’s a wrap for the year! We just want to say a massive thank you to all our brilliant customers — it’s been a top year and we couldn’t have done it without you (and the occasional cuppa on site 👀☕).

Now it’s time to down tools, spend some proper time with friends and family, put our feet up… and enjoy a well-earned beer or three 🍻.

Thanks again for the support this year — we’ll see you in the New Year, refreshed, recharged, and ready to get your projects done 🤝🙌🏻

🏡✨ Cottage Restoration: Complete!

The builders left us some exposed stonework that definitely wasn’t part of the interior design plan. More like:
“Shall we finish this?”
“Nah mate, pub?”

There was a mountain to build out before we could even think about smooth plaster. And because this cottage is roughly the same age as gravity, every wall had a curve in it.
Not a gentle curve either — more like the cottage had been slowly dodging responsibility since 1783.

But don’t worry. We tamed the curves, smoothed out the chaos, and turned it back into a wall that actually looks like… well, a wall. Another victory for RWC Plastering.

🔥 Another rescue mission complete at Muiño Tapas in Bristol! 🔧💦

This wall had seen things.
Someone tried to put up a handrail and… let’s just say they found a water pipe the hard way. (Hey, we’ve all been there. DIY gods can be cruel.)

We had to work outside of opening hours to avoid traumatising any customers mid-patatas bravas.
After hours of prep work, smoothing, and giving the wall a motivational pep talk (“You can do this, mate… you’ve been through worse”), we brought it back to life.

Crisis over.
Wall restored.
Handrail dreams back on track.
Another day, another plastering miracle.🙏🏻

Just completed a bathroom job for the absolute legend of a plumber, Jamie Dean Plumbing & Heating — a man who kindly located the bathroom somewhere between the attic, the clouds, and God’s front porch.
Every time I thought I’d reached the top, another flight appeared like a boss level. 🧗‍♂️💀

Jamie had already done the boarding — absolute king behaviour 👑— so we just had prep and plastering to complete

Edges? Sharp enough to cut tension in the room.
Finish? So clean you could eat your dinner off it.
Ryan? Smiling like Bristol Rovers just won the league (we can dream). ⚽️

Massive thanks to Jamie for having us on the job — top bloke, top work, and a staircase we will never forget… or forgive.

This little downstairs toilet has had its day.

While the leaves were falling outside, the ceiling in here decided to join in… thanks to a hefty bit of water damage 😅

But winter’s the perfect time for a proper home refresh, so we:
🛠 Reboarded the damaged ceiling
🎨 Replastered the entire room
➡️ And the transformation? As dramatic as switching the heating on for the first time -
Instantly better!

Artex isn’t for everyone… in fact, one of the most common questions we get is:
“Can you make my Artex ceiling smooth again?”
And the answer is always a big, confident YES! 🙌

This project was no exception.
Our suggestion? Add a curved to create a seamless finish.
The result? A ceiling so smooth it should come with a warning not to stare at it too long. 😎
