Front Elevation Restoration – Bath Stone and Leadwork

Another successful project completed for a happy customer.

The work began with our mason—my brother—carefully repairing the broken Bath stonework. Our carpenters then repaired the leadwork and completed the new timberwork required for the lead apron.

Once the repairs were complete, the new specialist cleaning company, EJWS.co.uk, carried out a DOFF wash to remove the worst of the built-up grime.

We then carefully sanded and made good the Bath stone before dropping the scaffold. Our cleaning team stayed on site to keep pedestrians safe and clear away all waste, leaving the area clean, tidy and ready for completion.

We had a call from a client who had purchased a property that needed completing before moving in.

They had just three weeks.

Steelwork and knock-through completed today on one of our Bristol sites.

This required a careful procedure due to the existing cornice. Although the wall was non-supporting, two loose rows of bricks still needed temporary support. If they had fallen, the plaster and cornice could have come down with them, so multiple props were installed to support the centre of the brickwork along the full length of the wall.

With a seven-man crew on site, the job was completed safely and within the day. The site was cleaned through, vans and trucks loaded, and another happy customer left satisfied.
