There is something special about seeing a garden transformation a few weeks on, when things have taken shape, and the space is being used as the clients imagined.

We recently popped back to visit one of our Torbay garden projects, and it was exactly the moment every garden designer hopes for. The structural planting had settled in beautifully; the new seating area was already scattered with cushions, and the clients sipping glasses of something cold told us they'd been out there most evenings enjoying their new space.

It's easy to focus on the "big reveal" photos taken the day we finish — but gardens aren't static. They're living spaces that need a few weeks (or a full season) to really show their character. This is when we get to see:
