Forgot to take before photos, but trust me this had flaking paint that needed scraping and sanding back, filled, caulked and primed.

One thing I’d really appreciate from customers when I provide a quote is simply a response — even if it’s a “no”.

When I come out to look at a job, I take the time to discuss what you want, work out materials and costs, put the quote together and send it over. As a small business owner and a single parent, my free time is limited, so that time and effort genuinely matters.

I completely understand that quotes can be more than expected, plans can change, or you may decide to go with someone else. That's absolutely fine — I’d never expect every quote to turn into a job.

But after taking the time to meet someone and prepare a quote, it would be nice to get a quick reply rather than being ghosted.

A simple “Thanks, we’ve decided not to go ahead” takes 10 seconds and is hugely appreciated.

Let’s keep things respectful and support the small businesses that are working hard to provide a service. 👍
