Not every child loves the same thing… so when I was asked to create a session featuring dinosaurs, space, cars and bugs, I couldn’t wait to get planning.

From dinosaur digs to space adventures, racing tracks and bug hunts, today’s session is packed with opportunities to explore, imagine and get wonderfully messy.

One of my favourite parts of private sessions is bringing a child’s interests to life and watching their excitement when they arrive.

Thank you for choosing Creative Rainbow Explorers to celebrate and play 💛

Another lovely week spent with you all 💛

This week has been full of imagination, exploration, laughter and play. Watching the children dive into activities, create their own adventures and grow in confidence week after week is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Whether they were splashing, scooping, building, creating or simply observing, every child explored in their own unique way and that’s exactly what messy play is all about 🌈

Thank you for joining me this week and for making Creative Rainbow Explorers such a special little community.

🦁🐘 Next up… Zoo Animals! Get ready for wild adventures, sensory exploration and plenty of messy fun.

Hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend 💛

To a baby, the world is one big investigation… and yes, that investigation often involves putting things in their mouth! 😂

Sometimes messy play can look a little like an all-you-can-eat buffet, but there really is method behind the madness.

For babies, exploring with their mouths is a completely normal and important part of development. It’s one of the ways they learn about the world around them. They are discovering different textures, temperatures, tastes, smells and sensations while building connections in their growing brains.

Messy play can help support:

✨ Sensory development
✨ Fine motor skills
✨ Hand-eye coordination
✨ Curiosity and problem-solving
✨ Language development as they experience and describe new things
✨ Confidence in exploring new environments
✨ Early understanding of cause and effect

At Creative Rainbow Explorers, babies are never expected to sit and do activities a certain way. They are free to explore at their own pace, whether that’s squishing, splashing, patting, throwing… or trying to have a little taste! 😂

Learning in the early years doesn’t always look like worksheets and sitting still. Sometimes it looks like spaghetti in your hair, yoghurt on your nose and a very determined baby investigating the world one mouthful at a time.

And honestly? That’s where some of the best learning happens. 🌈

When children look back on childhood, they won’t remember the washing.

They won’t remember the muddy clothes.

They won’t remember how much cleaning was needed afterwards.

They’ll remember feeding the animals.
Digging in the farmyard.
Splashing in water.
Getting messy with friends.
Laughing until their tummy hurt.

The little moments that seem ordinary now often become the memories that stay with them forever.

This week we’re heading to the farm for another week of adventures, imagination and messy play.

From sensory exploration to farmyard fun, there will be plenty of opportunities for little hands to investigate, create and discover through play.

I can’t wait to welcome this week’s little farmers and make even more magical memories together 💛

Five years later and one thing still amazes me…

How differently every child approaches the same activity.

One child dives straight in.
One watches first.
One creates a story.
One carefully investigates every detail.

There is no right or wrong way to play.

That’s what I love most about messy play.

Every week I provide the invitations and the children take them somewhere I never expected.

The learning, confidence and imagination that grows from these moments is incredible to watch.

Thank you for letting me be a small part of your children’s childhood memories 💛

The mess washes away… but the memories don’t 💛

This week has been full of:
✨ Confidence building
✨ Exploring
✨ Imaginary play
✨ Problem solving
✨ Giggles
✨ Friendship

Sometimes messy play looks chaotic from the outside… but underneath all the splashing, scooping and muddy puddles, there is so much learning happening 🌈

And honestly? Watching children simply enjoy being children will always be my favourite thing ✨

Mess Fest has officially begun and oh my goodness… the children have LOVED it already 💛

This week is all about our favourite kind of play:

💦 Water everywhere
🌈 Sensory chaos
🚗 Car wash fun
🥣 Gloop splashing
🚧 Construction play
🍦 Mud kitchen cooking
🧊 Ice exploration
…and all the messy magic in between ✨

With this heat, i’ve added lots of extra water play to help keep everybody cool while they explore, create and play their own way ☀️

Watching the children fully immerse themselves in the mess, laughter and imagination is honestly the best part of my job 💛

✨ PRIVATE SESSIONS UPDATE ✨

I honestly didn’t expect the response to private messy play sessions to be quite so amazing… thank you SO much 💛

At the moment, all private session spaces are now fully booked for summer and I’ve made the decision to pause any new bookings until September.

As exciting as it is, I also want to make sure I’m protecting the calm, personal experience that Creative Rainbow Explorers is all about — and making sure I don’t take on too much behind the scenes too ✨

Private bookings will reopen in September and I’ll share all the details closer to the time.

Thank you so much for every enquiry, share, booking and bit of support. It honestly means the world 🌈

🎈✨ 5 YEARS OF MESSY PLAY MAGIC ✨🎈

What a week it’s been 💛

From disco ball water play and party animals… to jelly, bubbles, birthday fun and LOTS of mess — we’ve celebrated 5 years of Creative Rainbow Explorers in the best way possible 🌈

This week has felt so special.
Watching children laugh, explore, create, make friends and simply enjoy being little will always be the reason I do this ✨

To think this little idea I started 5 years ago has become such a huge part of so many families’ lives honestly means the world to me 🥹

Thank you for every class booked, every photo shared, every recommendation, every kind message and for trusting me with your little ones week after week 💛

I’ll never stop being grateful for this beautiful community we’ve created together 🌈

Here’s to 5 years of mess… and many more to come ✨
