Dove Cottage, West Linton — complete transformation

What began as an external cladding replacement became a much more extensive renovation once the original walls were opened up.

The project included major timber-frame repairs, upgraded insulation, a completely new weatherproof wall build-up, anthracite tilt-and-turn windows, composite front and rear doors, black fascia and rainwater goods, and Millboard Shadowline cladding throughout.

We also formed bespoke details around the existing flue and rear pipework, along with new internal window finishings, plastering and making good.

The finished timber-effect cladding works beautifully with the anthracite windows, doors and black roofline, giving the cottage a warmer, sharper and much lower-maintenance exterior.

A big transformation and a great result for the BSJ team.
