A different perspective on our Buckinghamshire barn conversion.

These aerial shots really show the scale of the project and how far things have come.

Even more progress since this footage, with the concrete now poured and work moving onto the next stages.

A leak left this kitchen and utility needing more than a fresh coat of paint.

We arranged for our specialist to remove the asbestos under controlled conditions, then got stuck into reboarding, replastering and decorating to get both rooms back in order.

We’re looking for two new faces to join the Burgess team.

An experienced general builder who takes pride in their work, and a reliable general labourer who’s happy to get stuck in. Labouring experience is preferred, but not essential.

Both roles are full-time, working across Buckingham and surrounding areas, with competitive pay and an immediate start. Driving licence required for both.

Sound like your kind of job? Email [email protected] with a little about yourself and your experience.

Know someone who’d fit in? Send this their way.

The house has had its moment. Now for the outside.

Back at Green End, where the garage has had new timber cladding and a replacement roof that’s nearly finished. The new patio is nearly all down too, following on from the progress we shared earlier.

You’ve seen the rooms, the bathrooms and that oak staircase. Here’s a look at what’s been keeping us busy beyond the back door.

Nearly time to get the scaffold out of the way and show this one off.

New lime render and exterior decoration have given the building a fresh look, with the project now nearing completion.

The GB Scaffolding lads will be coming down shortly so you can see the full result.

A bit more progress at Matt’s grandfather’s house following the garage fire.

First fix electrics and plumbing are underway, plasterboard is going up on the walls and ceilings, and new joists have been installed in the garage and utility.

Still plenty to do, but it’s good to see the affected rooms starting to come back together. We’ll keep you posted as work continues.

A finished porch and some lovely feedback from Nick and Melanie.

A new porch arch, replacement posts and fresh paintwork have given their entrance a smart refresh. We worked through the details with them beforehand, so hearing the result exceeded their expectations means a lot.

Thanks both for trusting us with the job and taking the time to leave a review.

Two properties, two projects running at the same time, both delivered on time and within budget.

Keeping everything moving and our customer in the loop is just as much a part of the job as the building work itself. Great to hear they’re pleased with the whole experience.

Thanks for trusting the BBM team. We’ll look forward to the next one!

Water damage out. Rebuild underway.

This kitchen and utility took a hit from water damage, so we’ve stripped things back and started putting it right properly.

A new insulated timber floating floor is now in, the walls have been battened ready for plastering, and first fix electrics and plumbing are complete.

It might not look pretty just yet, but this is the stage where the transformation really starts.
