Well I think everyone knows the expression “a cobbler’s shoes….”? It applies to a joiner’s house too but we got it fitted in the end after storing it for nearly 2 years! Spring is on its way (honest!) so time to start planning those home improvements you’ve been thinking of.

We get asked to spray all sorts of colours by our customers but this is a more unusual green. The customer wanted to keep the same colour as their existing windows in their traditional cottage that we were making matching replacements of. They also wanted it two-tone (painted outside while keeping the beauty of natural wood inside)

A bit of restoration work coming through this week with a very broken and tired leaded light that undoubtedly needed saving.
Probably untouched since the Victorians that painstakingly made it, it’s good to go again.

Experienced Bench Joiner/Machinist

Applicants MUST have the following:

Proven experience in the manufacture of joinery

Be able to work from drawings, templates and written instructions and to be able to set out, machine & assemble bespoke joinery products

Be able to manufacture all joinery items such as Doors, Windows & Staircases to a high standard with a strong attention to detail

Experience in site work and fitting preferred but not essential.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Permanent full-time position. Hourly rate negotiable depending on experience
