Not very often we get the chance to revisit jobs when the scaffolding has gone. These beautifully designed homes finished off with a man made riven edge slate and a lot of cedar cladding. But they look very chic!!

A lovely strip and recover here in beautiful Warninglid. Following on from the other half we did a few years ago. A lot of delamination in these old tiles so we sourced a lot of second hands to match. Using existing fittings wherever possible. Another great job complete with a very happy customer. Well done to all our hardworking team for cracking this out especially stripping it in some very challenging ‘wet’ conditions

Lovely total strip and relay in Burgess Hill. All old tiles reused where possible with matching fitting making for a seamless finish, as with any re roof using the existing tiles it’s a skill to make it look like it hasn’t been done. To keep the charm and character whilst making it watertight for years to come. Another great job from our extremely dedicated team of tradesmen

A very old and challenging roof and another one in beautiful Petworth nearly finished. It’s extremely challenging stripping and tiling any kind of roof at this time of year and this was no exception. From rain to frost to snow (angels)!!Courtesy of one of my busy workforce! 😂We struggled on with the welcome Christmas break sandwiched inbetween!!
All the old tiles and fittings are reused wherever possible to create the image that we were just never there. No site bashing here just quality workmanship at its very best.
Only two extensions and three outbuildings to go and we are out of here !! Here’s to many more upcoming projects in 2026.

Another foamed roof that’s destroying the roof structure. Leaving the loft sweaty and full of condensation as it can’t breathe. This was a little challenging as we fought against the elements. So as last time we literally rip the tiles off one by one. RIP up the battens and cut all foam out inbetween the rafters. Al old tiles,batten and foam the need to be skipped! New felt,batten and a Redland plain tile with dry fix ridge and hips. As always a satisfied customer as the job comes to a close

Another one buttoned up last week in Danehill. Who doesn’t love a foamed roof!!?? We seem to be stripping more and more of these now as people who have inherited these roofs or were persuaded they were a good idea realise they definitely don’t deliver what they promised. Causing leaks you can’t repair and making it almost impossible to get a mortgage on a property with it.
As you can see in our pictures you literally have to rip off the tiles from the foam and cut carefully down the rafters to remove the foam. Then you’re back to a blank canvas. Re felt and batten and replace the old tiles with new ones.
Check out the size of that wasp 🐝 nest too!! Thankfully not lived in !!!
Well done boys for another great job. Customers as always very happy with the results and they are free to move on with the internal renovations with a safe ,dry secure roof above them.

Finished up at the Burgess Hill Town Council building yesterday. Always nice to be the trusted contractor for our Council.
All stripped back to bare bones with horse hair felt and chicken wire to remove from the rafters ( which was nice)! And then re felt and battened, old tiles back on with a new dry hip and ridge system to provide safety and longevity, with a new flat roof from Fraserwood Construction. Just the solar panels to be replaced by PDP and all back to normal.

Sadly we lost one of our Directors, Friend and Brother this year to Prostate Cancer.

1 in 8 men will get Prostate Cancer and it is the only major cancer that doesn’t have a screening process.

We are raising money for Prostate Cancer UK to help change this.

Scott was a huge part of Kaycee Roofing, he was always first at the yard, radio on and tea in hand. He was only 55 when he died and he left behind a wife and young family. Warren, along with many friends and family, will be running in his memory. 💙

Started this mammoth rivet slate job this week! So this is just one side of one house. Four houses, so seven (and a half) sides to go!! As a company we are always so thankful for the work (although I’m not sure my back will be by the end)!! This is only the start so I’ll pop a picture on when this sides all tied up.

Petworth dump number two for this complete re roof. Off came the old concrete tiles and on go the new clay tile. The boys are smashing this one!!!
