Finally after a few unforeseen delays (tree protection issues) we can start to prepare the site compound ready for welfare units & storage of materials & begin the improvements to the conservation site of Clitheroe castle grounds & park. Excavating of existing Bandstand area of almost 500 ton & replace with new conservation granite paving ,park paths, fencing, benches, lighting etc.

Tod Sparkes Vs Hapton Hurricanes 🌀

Tough match against a physical Todmorden side who took an early lead. We dug in, adjusted second half and fought back with Kian’s penalty and Finlay’s well-earned goal. They equalised late with a screamer, leaving it level, a fair result after a real battle.

6km of footpath clearance on Padiham By-Pass, all vegetation & arising removed & disposed off site. The carriageway side of the verge will also be trimmed in both directions.

Another brilliant performance from the U13’s Hapton Hurricanes today! From start to finish we attacked with energy and defended like a wall.

Finlay opened the scoring from a great throw-in by Maddie, followed by goals from Kian and AJ before half-time. Maddie’s throws kept Lammack under pressure and Blake made some top saves to keep us in control.

The defence of Gabriel, James, Maddie and Will worked solidly all game. Second half goals came from Finlay, Will and Maddie, who moved up front to score twice, both assisted by Toby. Will was everywhere, helping out in defence, midfield and attack, setting up teammates and getting one himself.

Kian and AJ linked up nicely and Oliver and Harry kept the opposition busy through the middle and out wide.

No subs today, but the effort from every single player was outstanding.
