Getting the timing right can make all the difference.

Ideally, completing a snagging inspection before your legal completion will allow you to sort any issues before you move in. That said, many developers won’t allow access beforehand, as they run their own inspections prior to handover—so arrange your survey as soon as you’ve got the keys.

⏱️ You normally have up to 2 years after completion to report defects under your warranty, but acting early helps avoid delays and disagreements.

💭 Is a snagging survey really worth it?
In short—yes. It is your biggest investment.

Even brand-new homes aren’t perfect. It’s very common for properties to have dozens (sometimes over 100) issues, from minor finishing faults to more significant concerns.
