I recently priced a job for a returning customer and whilst doing so, got chance to take some photos of a kitchen we plastered.
Unfortunately, I didn’t take photos beforehand but the customer sent a couple from when the kitchen was split in two different rooms. This shows the condition of the walls prior to being plastered.

More render mesh used on this job, to help eliminate those pesky hairline cracks caused by old plaster systems.
The ceiling and walls were also base coated to help give nice sharp edges on the skim coat.
The media walls seem as popular and effective as ever and I’m glad the customer sent us photos of the work painted so we can show off our work finished.

This is what I can only describe as a feature head board made from Venetian plaster that I have used on my own property.
I have half the amount of the materials left. So if anyone is interested in anything like this, for a wall size of 4/5 m2, please get in touch.
Venetian plaster is an expensive product, being able to do it myself, I only had the material cost to pay. Something like this would usually be around £800 to a £1000 to supply and apply.
I’m offering it for around £450 ( which I appreciate is still a lot of money.)
But this is something that I’m offering as a one off just to use up the materials.

Can’t wait for rendering season!

This silicone coloured render job was completed at the end of last summer.
With the existing traditional sand and cement render showing hairline cracks and bad patch work over the years, we advised the customer to use the more durable silicone system.
As well as being pre coloured, silicone has flexible qualities, to prevent eyesore cracks reappearing.

When the wall paper was removed from the walls on this job, obstacles such as loose plaster, hairline cracks and distemper paint were evident.
So it was decided to knock the walls back to brick and plaster board.
As well as a more durable system, the room also has nice new sharp edges to go with the features of the room!

Ryan came to fix a leak under the sink in our utility. He got the job fixed quickly and efficiently, after a very stressful house move with very short notice. Came when said and was very polite and tidy. I would recommend him to anyone for any plumbing needs.

The customers of this property had just moved into this modern house, with old fashioned artex ceilings. Not only were they patterned, but cracks had occurred due to plasterboards being fixed with clout nails.

We scrapped the artex down. Used dry wall screws on the hairline cracks, a much stronger, durable system. And a base coat to level the ceilings and prevent the pattern showing through before skimmed it .

I couldn’t recommend Ridgeway Plastering enough! From point of quoting to completion date, Mitch was always quick to reply and very professional. Mitch and Nathan scraped and plastered nearly every room in our house, they worked efficiently whilst being as clean and tidy as possible. The work was finished to a very high standard and I wouldn’t hesitate about having Ridgeway plastering back for any future plastering requirements.

So here is the corksol finish. This time applied on the outside walls of a bedroom.
The window wall will eventually be skimmed over, but the customer is considering using the other wall as a feature.
We will go back in a few weeks to skim over it and use a therma gun to see the difference the corksol has made.
