A valley trough might not be the most visible part of a roof, but it plays an important role in keeping water moving where it should. 🌧️

Installed where two roof slopes meet, valley troughs collect and direct rainwater away from the roof and into the drainage system.

But getting the right valley trough isn't simply about moving water. The system also needs to suit the roof design, installation method and building itself.

Over the past three decades, she's become a familiar face to colleagues, customers and suppliers alike. Having worked across several administrative departments before finding her place in Accounts, Steph's knowledge of the business is second to none.

If you've ever dealt with Steph, you'll know she has a keen eye for detail and always likes to do things properly. She believes in picking up the phone, building relationships and taking a personal approach.

Thirty years with one company is a remarkable achievement and a reflection of the dedication, loyalty and experience Steph has brought to Filon throughout her career.

Last week we welcomed Haiden from Chase Terrace Academy and Charlie from Alleyne's Academy to Filon for their engineering work experience.

It was a pleasure to have them with us, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at what we do while sharing knowledge and helping them explore where a career in engineering could take them.

Their enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to get involved made a real impression on the team.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make their week a valuable experience. We wish Haiden and Charlie all the very best with their future studies and career.
