🌿 FREE WOOD CHIPPINGS – HAMMERWICH CREMATORIUM & CEMETERY 🌿

Hammerwich Crematorium and Cemetery are currently cutting down some of the hedgerows, which means we have wood chippings available for anyone who would like some.

If you can make use of them, please feel free to come along to the cemetery and collect what you need. 🌳

📍 You’ll find us at the top end of the cemetery.

Please bring your own bags, containers or suitable transport for collecting the chippings.

🌳Cemetery Improvement Works – Next Week🌿

We’re pleased to let you know that we’ll be carrying out some large improvement works within the cemetery next week as part of our ongoing efforts to improve the grounds and facilities for everyone who visits.

We’d like to reassure families that these works will not affect or disturb any services taking place in the chapel. Services will continue as normal, with no disruption to funeral services or chapel arrangements.

During the works, access to certain areas of the cemetery will be temporarily limited for safety reasons. We understand how important it is for families to be able to visit their loved ones, and if you need to access a grave within one of the restricted areas, please speak to a member of our staff. We will do everything we can to accommodate your visit safely.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these improvements are carried out, and we look forward to seeing the benefits for everyone who uses and visits our cemetery.

Our chapel offers:
✨ Seating for up to 90 attendees
🎨 Bespoke coloured lighting to create a personal atmosphere
🎵 A modern music sound system for meaningful tributes
📺 Two large widescreen monitors for photo and video memories
🌐 Livestream facilities, allowing family and friends to join from anywhere
🔊 Outside speakers and an external monitor, so those gathered outside can still be part of the service

Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable, tranquil setting where families can come together to reflect, celebrate a life, and say goodbye with dignity.

The nomination is a great recognition of work done by our team in supporting the families and communities we serve.
