Project Throwback.

A rear extension designed to transform this Nottingham home with a full-width swimming pool, gym, sauna, changing facilities and bar area. Carefully integrated with the existing property, the new addition creates a seamless connection between the house and garden while enhancing everyday living.

If you’re considering a swimming pool extension or would like to discuss the potential of your home, we’d be delighted to help.

Project throwback.

A large swimming pool extension designed to sit comfortably alongside the existing house, taking cues from its proportions, materials and overall character.

The new addition not only includes a full length swimming pool but also a fully equipped gym, sauna, changing rooms, and a stylish bar area, designed to provide a complete wellness and entertainment space.

Still in love with our beautiful kitchen and vanity worktops here at the studio.

These bespoke concrete pieces were crafted by the talented local team at +Rose — and they truly make the space.

Concrete offers a contemporary, innovative alternative for a range of surfaces, and using it throughout the project helped tie the spaces together into one cohesive, practical design.

Tall Trees - Restaurant & Farm Shop Concept.

Tall Trees project is a set of design proposals for the redesign of an existing garden centre. The project included a restaurant, farm shop, garden centre and offices. Focusing on locally sourced sustainable produce & supporting small businesses based in the area.

As a new build the proposal would be that we use as many sustainable building practices as the budget would allow. The final design included a biomass heating system, photovoltaic panels, MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery), rainwater reclamation as well as a ‘fabric first’ approach ensuring the building itself was as efficient as possible.

Sustainability shaped every decision on this project. By replacing the original bungalow, we had the opportunity to start from scratch and create a home that treads more lightly on the environment while supporting modern life.

The design carefully considers the performance of every element of the building, reducing energy demand, lowering running costs, and minimising long-term carbon impact.

Externally, contemporary zinc and timber cladding provide a durable, low-maintenance finish, while inside, accessible open-plan spaces maximise natural light and flexibility for everyday living.

A home designed not just to look good — but to perform well for years to come.

One of our favourite projects…

Wrapped in beautiful charred Siberian larch cladding, the new rear extension and dormer create a striking contrast to the original brickwork of this Victorian semi — contemporary in feel, yet completely at home alongside the character of the house.

The old garden shed made way for a generous open-plan kitchen and dining space, designed for everyday family life and entertaining, while a new roof dormer provides a calm, light-filled master suite with its own en-suite.

A carefully considered reworking of the plan, creating brighter, more connected spaces throughout.

Welcome to our office… and our home !

Wellington Road isn’t just another project for us — it’s where we live and work.

Built on a disused plot and nestled between beautiful period homes, the aim was to design a large family house with dedicated office space, while creating something that felt completely at home on the street.
Behind the traditional look, the design follows a fabric-first approach — carefully considering each element of the building’s performance so that, together, they create an energy-efficient, low-carbon home.

This method of design can help reduce capital costs, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

Thinking about your own home or workspace project? Drop us a message - we’d love to chat and see how we can help bring it to life.

We’re really pleased to share that we’ve been awarded 'Best Family-Run Architectural Design Practice 2026 – Nottingham' as part of the BUILD Client Service Excellence Awards.

This is our second award from BUILD, and it’s particularly meaningful as it recognises client service, not just completed projects.

As a small, family-run practice, our focus has always been on listening carefully, explaining the process clearly, and supporting clients through what can often feel like a daunting journey.

Thank you to everyone we’ve worked with — this recognition reflects those relationships as much as our work.
