One of the final bedrooms on this renovation is officially starting to take shape 👷‍♂️

You might recognise this room from our recent post when it had just been stripped back and prepared for its transformation.

Now the furniture has been moved, work can properly get underway. The room is being fully insulated and updated, with a new cloakroom area also being created as part of the renovation.

We'll be back to show you how this one looks once the plastering and final finishes are complete.

Bringing this grand entrance hallway back to life **👷**

This entrance hallway had suffered from water ingress and damp for many years, so the first stage of the renovation was stripping the walls right back to the original brickwork.

This allowed the property to breathe and dry out properly before DPC injection and specialist tanking works were carried out.

Once the underlying issues had been addressed, it was time to start bringing the character back into the space. Bespoke timber mouldings, cornice and luxury wallpaper were used to restore the hallway and give it a completely new lease of life.

The project has now been cleaned, completed and handed back to the client, with the hallway once again ready to be used as the main entrance to the property.

Every renovation starts somewhere👷🏻‍♂️

While much of this renovation is now coming together, this is the final bedroom to be stripped back and prepared for its transformation.

It's a good reminder that every finished room starts exactly like this. Before the decorating, flooring and finishing touches, there's always a stage where the potential is far easier to imagine than it is to see.

Sometimes it's the finishing touches that make all the difference.

As part of this renovation project, staircase tread lighting has been installed into the existing staircase leading up to the new loft conversion.

It's a subtle addition that not only creates a warm, modern feel but also adds practicality when using the stairs, particularly during the evenings.

One of the advantages of bespoke joinery is that it's designed to fit the space, rather than trying to make the space fit the furniture.

In this loft conversion, custom shelving and storage have been built to follow the sloping ceiling and continue over the doorway, making the most of every available inch.

It's still a work in progress, but it's already starting to show how a well-designed storage solution can become part of the room itself.

This new non-slip sandstone patio has now been laid and is almost complete, with the final stage being the grouting.

Rather than using a standard grout, we'll be finishing this patio with a specialist Kerakoll grout. Sandstone naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature throughout the year, so using the right product helps create a longer-lasting finish that's better suited to the material.

It's often the details you don't immediately notice that make all the difference to the finished result.
