Single storey side extension underway👷🏻‍♂️

This project is set to transform the property into a much larger family home, with a new lounge, fourth bedroom with ensuite, and a spacious open plan kitchen and utility area.

Structural steels are now in place, along with reinforced concrete slabs, setting the footprint for a significant increase in living space. The design also includes a vaulted roof with large windows to maximise light and create a bright, open feel.

We’ll continue sharing progress as this build moves through insulation, plastering, and final finishes.

Repointing in progress using traditional lime mortar 🧱

For older properties, using the right materials matters. Modern cement can trap moisture within the brickwork, which can lead to damage over time -especially in homes without cavity walls.

That’s why this project is being carefully repointed using traditional lime mortar, allowing the building to breathe properly while strengthening the structure.

The existing mortar is removed between each brick before being replaced, ensuring a clean, long lasting finish that protects the property for years to come.

Extension and refurbishment underway👷🏻‍♂️

This single storey wraparound extension is set to significantly increase the living space, creating a larger family home with new lounge, bedroom with ensuite, and an open plan kitchen and utility area.

Structural works are now in place, with the footprint nearly doubling the ground floor and setting the stage for the next phase of the build.

It’s always exciting to get a new project underway and this loft conversion is one we’re really looking forward to sharing🛠️

Right now, it’s just the early stages: an empty loft space waiting to be opened up and reimagined. But over the next few weeks, we’ll be transforming it step by step into a bright, practical new living area.

These first updates may not look like much, but they’re the foundation of something special. We’ll keep you posted as the build takes shape 👷🏻‍♂️
