🌲 BIG TRANSFORMATION 🌲

Another fencing project completed by the team at SWS Design & Build.

For this garden, we removed a 4ft-wide conifer hedge that had taken up valuable space around the entire perimeter. Once cleared, we installed a strong new fence line, dividing the two gardens creating a clean, secure boundary while significantly increasing the usable garden space.
The result is a much larger, brighter, and more manageable outdoor area for the homeowner to enjoy.

Then the customer decided on herringbone flooring afterwards! 🤦‍♂️😂

Not exactly the order we'd recommend, but with some careful work and attention to detail, both came together beautifully.
The finished result speaks for itself - a stunning focal point, cosy electric fire, and timeless herringbone flooring that completely elevates the space.
Sometimes the best projects aren't the ones that go exactly to plan... they're the ones that end up looking this good.

This bespoke media wall combines rustic charm with modern design, featuring authentic brick slips, a solid oak mantel, marble hearth, electric stove fire, and colour-changing LED-lit shelving.
With three built-in storage cupboards and recessed COB lighting highlighting the brickwork, this installation creates a stunning focal point while remaining practical for everyday living.

We also had the pleasure of installing beading panelling through out the house!!

Another job wrapped up today ✔️

We’ve just completed this bedroom transformation, giving it a fresh new look with a modern finish. Decorated ✅ with light grey acoustic panels were installed across one and a half walls, modernising the room and creating a stylish feature wall that really stands out.

To complete the look, we replaced all sockets and switches with sleek matt black fittings—tying everything together for a clean, contemporary feel.

A simple upgrade that makes a big difference!

Another project completed ✔️

We’ve just finished this bespoke lean-to, built using solid 150x150 posts and 6x2 C24 treated timber for a strong, long-lasting structure. The roof is finished with clear PVCu corrugated sheets, allowing plenty of natural light while keeping the space sheltered all year round.

We also extended the patio—creating a clean, open space that’s perfect for relaxing or entertaining during the summer months ☀️

Another project completed last week 💪

We carried out a lift and relay of a patio at Red Gables, Stowmarket, improving accessibility and making the area safe for residents.

The existing patio had unfortunately sunk in several areas, creating trip hazards. After lifting the slabs, we discovered a 130mm sand bed 🤦🏼‍♂️ which had contributed to the movement over time.

Our solution:
✅Removed the unsuitable sand base.
✅Installed a new solid sub-base for long-term stability.
✅Added ACO drainage around the building perimeter.
✅Relayed the paving on a full sand and cement bed.
✅Re-jointed using sand and cement for a durable finish.

The result is a much safer, level, and accessible patio that will stand the test of time 👌
