I need your help...

I really shouldn't have started looking at Christmas fabric again! I thought I was all done and sorted for this year, but then I saw these two and now I'm stuck. πŸ˜‚

I absolutely love them both, but I definitely can't get both, so I need you to help me choose!

I love it when an order comes in for these two fabrics together! 🌿

The dark green and botanical leaves just go so well together. This order was for two hanging plant pots, but I sometimes get orders for two pot covers, or one of each.

I really love how they look as a pair. They're different enough to add a bit of interest, but still complement each other beautifully.

Which would you choose? Would you go for a combination of two coordinating fabrics like these, or would you prefer everything to match exactly?

Autumn seed sowing...

This isn't something I've tried before, but I'm giving it a go with a few hardy annuals this year.

I've sown nigella, poppies and snapdragons, and I'm hoping I can keep them protected in the greenhouse over winter. The plan is that they'll grow into nice, strong plants ready to go out in the garden in spring, which should hopefully mean they'll flower earlier.

It all sounds very straightforward, but I must remember to water them through the winter!

I've never tried autumn sowing before, so fingers crossed it works.

Have you tried sowing seeds in autumn? What did you grow?

If you're a Halloween fan, here's a little sneak peek of what I've been working on! πŸŽƒπŸ–€

I'm putting together a small Halloween collection this year, with scrunchies, bags and bookmarks. I haven't done a Halloween collection for a while, but I absolutely love Halloween, so I couldn't resist bringing it back!

A few weeks ago, while I was having a big clear out of my fabric cupboard, I found several small pieces of Halloween fabric that I'd completely forgotten about.

They weren't big enough for some of my usual projects, but they're perfect for a few spooky little makes! πŸŽƒ

This is one of the Halloween scrunchies I've started sewing. There will only be very small quantities of each design, so once they're gone, they're gone!

Are you a Halloween fan too? πŸ‘»

The Ber months are nearly here! πŸ‚

Can you believe we're almost at that time of year again? September, October, November and December. Where has this year gone?

I'm definitely not ready for autumn yet, but there is something lovely about this time of year. Cosy evenings, changing leaves, autumn flowers and Christmas approaching πŸŽƒπŸπŸŽ„

My autumn designs have already made their way back into the shop, so I suppose I should accept that summer won't last forever!

October is definitely my favourite. We have three family birthdays and then there's Halloween, so there's always plenty going on!

If you're a Halloween fan, keep an eye out for a post tomorrow! πŸŽƒ

Which of the Ber months is your favourite?

I only have two of these matching garden kneeler and apron sets left at the moment!

They make such a lovely matching set for anyone who loves spending time in the garden, but they won't be around forever.

If you miss out on the sets, don't worry the garden kneelers are also available separately.

Which would you choose, the matching set or just the kneeler?

I made, packaged and dropped one of these poppy garden kneelers off at the post office earlier today.

I'd forgotten just how bright and vibrant this print is! It was the perfect thing to brighten up a slightly dull and rainy day.

I'm actually quite pleased to finally have some rain. We've been waiting a long time!

Have you been enjoying the rain, or are you already missing the sunshine?

I love how easy Nigella is to save and grow!

Once the seed heads have dried, I simply collect the seeds and scatter some around the garden where I'd like them to grow next year. I’ve also saved some to sow in the spring, so hopefully I'll have plenty more of these gorgeous flowers next year.

I love collecting my own seeds. It's such an easy and inexpensive way to get more plants. I always find that seeds that have been scattered in the autumn grow much stronger plants for the following summer as well.

Do you collect seeds from your garden, or do you leave them to self-seed?

I have a new pair of thread snips! βœ‚οΈ

It might not be the most exciting thing to everyone, but these little scissors are a really handy tool that I use multiple times a day when I'm sewing.

My old purple pair had started to become a little bit blunt, so it was definitely time for a new pair. But don't worry, they're not being thrown away! They've now been moved out to the greenhouse where they'll be perfect for deadheading and little jobs in the garden.

Is there a little tool you use all the time that you couldn't do without?
