🏭 A Sellafield milestone, decades in the making.
Teams at the HALES plant have emptied some of the site’s oldest tanks, moving around 110m³ of liquor that dates back to Sellafield’s first operations in the 1950s. It took 2,250 careful transfers and was done in months rather than the year expected.
With ES Steel currently delivering projects at Sellafield, it’s great to see progress like this across the site. The clean-up mission demands patience, precision and teams willing to think differently, and that’s exactly how we work.
