We’re really pleased to announce that this week CHC has taken delivery of five new Ford diesel vans.

Replacing older models, this investment means improved efficiency and reliability and is a great step forward in strengthening our operations and supporting future growth.

Great few days spent this week at Hillhead Show, the UK’s largest quarrying, construction and recycling exhibition. Katie, Claire, Mike and David all attended courtesy of SMT GB, and a big thanks to them for their support with the dumptruck and hospitality throughout. It was fantastic to see such strong interest on the stand, particularly around the rebuilds, brilliant conversations and engagement all round.

We’re proud to congratulate Isidore Allen on achieving a First-Class Honours degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Salford.

Since joining CHC in early 2025, Isidore has already proved to be a fantastic addition to the team, bringing enthusiasm, dedication and a strong technical foundation to everything he does. He has been a great asset and his achievement is a testament to his hard work and commitment.

We’re excited to see his continued growth and impact within CHC.

Work experience is a great way to get a feel for what you might want to do (and just as importantly, what you might not!), so at CHC we are always happy to have people come in and see what our industry is all about.

We recently had Marta join us for a two-week placement after finishing her first year studying civil engineering at The University of Salford. It was great to have her with us and for her to get some real, hands-on insight into the role. At the end of her time with us, this is what Marta had to say:

“When I first walked in to the office, I felt welcomed and everyone was so kind and friendly. I have been on multiple sites, which helped me to get a real-life experience of how construction works, how it is operated and what is a step-by-step process. Every site had the kindest people ever! Everyone was so welcoming, they were looking after me and making sure that I actually learned something throughout these 2 weeks.

I have been on a few progress meetings with the clients, and I appreciated the opportunity of being included and treated as part of a team.

This wouldn’t have been possible without Claire and David who organised every single day and created a structured program for me. They always made sure that I felt welcomed, supported and valued, which shows how much they love what they do and the company they do it for.

I am really grateful for this opportunity to have had two weeks of work experience at Cheetham Hill Construction!”
