Tony Wilson Place – Progress Update

Another major milestone reached at Tony Wilson Place, Manchester.
Our team has now completed 60% of the 3,600 linear metres of scaffolding, with completion remaining on programme for 30th August.

A key achievement has been the successful installation of the triple beam bridging section over Pizza Express, using 1300 Heavy Duty Aluminium Beams to safely maintain access above the occupied premises.

A big thank you to Caspian Group and AK Scaffolding for their continued support in providing additional labour and materials to help keep the project on programme.

As a proud NASC-accredited scaffolding contractor, safety, quality and professionalism remain at the heart of everything we do.
We're looking forward to sharing the finished project in the coming weeks.

🚨 PROJECT WIN – Tony Wilson Place, Manchester 🚨

We’re extremely proud to announce that we are now officially on site for the start of the external works on our largest project to date at Tony Wilson Place.

Our team has already completed the internal phase, delivering two bespoke 23‑metre‑high timber rubble chutes to support the demolition works ahead of the full internal fit‑out. A huge effort from everyone involved, the scale and precision on this one set a new benchmark for us.

We now move onto the external works of one of Manchester’s most prestigious buildings, and momentum on site is only growing.

We’re delighted to be working alongside TMT Construction on this project. A strong partnership and a standout scheme for the city.

This project truly reflects the direction Ivy Scaffolding is heading within the industry. Keep an eye out for updates on this major scheme, along with progress across our many other city projects launching this year.

We’re proud to be underway with the internal phase of our scaffolding package at Tony Wilson Place, First Street, Manchester.

As the project moves into full internal fit-out, our team has installed bespoke timber rubble chutes to support demolition works — delivered with precision and ahead of schedule.

The pace has been demanding, but our scaffolders have gone above and beyond to keep everything on track. Their effort and commitment on site have been outstanding.

This is just the beginning — more updates to follow as the project progresses, with external works coming soon.
