Extension - Design

To fully understand how a completed scheme would look we provide a visualation with different materials options to see which one would blend better with the surrounding area and more importantly to the choice our Client.

With this scheme we also used our drone to get a high level existing image to fully cover the proposed area.

Which option do you prefer? ✏️🏠

This one feels slightly special and worth shouting about. We’ve finally received planning permission for a major extension and refurbishment to an existing dwelling in Bethesda. Whilst on the face of it should have been a simple project. However, as Bethesda is within a World Heritage Site numerous discussions, meetings with CADW and Planning, Heritage statements and revisions were necessary to ensure that a design sympathise the existing building, surrounding area and more importnantly than anything - the Client! Great start to the week! ✅

Sgim yma teimlo bach yn sbesial ac yn werth cael sylw arno. Rydym o’r diwedd wedi derbyn caniatad cynllunio ar gyfer estyniad ac adnewyddu mawr yn Bethesda. Er y dylai fod wedi bod yn brosiect syml ar y gwynab. Gan fod Bethesda o fewn Safle Treftadaeth y Byd, roedd angen nifer o drafodaethau, cyfarfodydd gyda CADW a Cynllunio er mwyn sicrhau fod gyda’r adeilad presennol, yr ardal gyfagos ag mwy ffwysig na dim - y Cleiant! We recently completed a Passive new build in Bethel. The property was constructed from local timber frame with above minimum insulation levels. It included large amount of glazing on the South facing to maximise the solar gains througout the day but keeping cool with an all house air conditioning system which was powered by the solar roof panels. All of this created a modern and eco friendly family property.

Adeiladwyd yr eiddo gan ddefnyddio fframwaith pren lleol a lefelau inswleiddio uwch na’r gofynion. Roedd y dyluniad yn cynnwys dipyn o wydr naturiol yn gwynebu’r de er mwyn manteisio ar wres yr haul trwy gydol y dydd, tra’n cadw’r tŷ yn oer gyda system aerdymheru. Mae hyn i gyd yn cael ei bweru gan baneli solar ar y to. Gyda’i gilydd, creodd gartref teuluol fodern ac ecogyfeillgar.
