🚨 A close call today... and a reminder why you should never ignore signs of an electrical fault. ⚡🔥
These photos are from a job I attended today after the customer noticed something wasn't quite right and gave me a call.

What we found was a seriously overheated connection inside a shower switch. The terminal had become loose over time, creating a high-resistance connection. This generated excessive heat, melting the switch, damaging the cable insulation, and leaving clear signs of arcing and burning.

This could very easily have developed into a house fire if it had been left any longer.

⚠️ Warning signs to never ignore:

Burning smell
Discoloured or scorched sockets and switches
Crackling or buzzing noises
Warm or hot electrical accessories
Flickering lights
Fuses or breakers repeatedly tripping
Electrical faults rarely fix themselves—they almost always get worse.

Thought I’d finally had enough of working in this heat and handed my notice in today… ☀️🥵
Unfortunately, my boss (the wife) informed me she’s already spent money I haven’t even earned yet, so apparently retirement has been denied. 😂

If you see me melting in a fuse board this week, just know I’m working to fund someone else’s holiday habits. 😅

🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨
I’ve officially been asked to become the next Prime Minister of the UK… 🇬🇧⚡
But after careful consideration, I’ve had to decline.
Reason being?
The country might survive a few political arguments… but Mrs Smith in No. 12 still needs her kitchen lights sorting before tea time. 😅
My customers need me more than Parliament does.
So for now, I’ll stick to fixing electrics instead of fixing the country. Don’t make me regret my decision. I’m taking bookings for July and the summer holidays get in touch.
Probably safer for everyone involved. 😂
