Good morning everyone,

Steve here, from SJL Plumbing and Heating. I’m reaching out to all of our previous clients with a bit of sad news. We are shutting down after almost 10 years in business.

Unfortunately, due to the current climate and a number of other factors, the company has run at a substantial loss over the last 12months.

We have now reached unsustainable levels and have come to the difficult decision to liquidate the company. From Dec 1st, we will no longer be operational.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank every single one of you for helping us grow and putting your faith in us to look after your plumbing and heating needs.

I know finding a new plumber or heating engineer that you can trust can be a little daunting so below, I've listed some tradesmen I trust to do a good job for you.

Most of the boilers have be fitted are still under warranty. Rest assured as long as they are serviced by a gas engineer they will remain under warranty and steve can help you with that.

I don’t normally post pictures of boilers because let’s be honest they aren’t beautiful bathrooms!

This is my latest one though and thought it would be worth showing what we can do. Baxi 836 Combi, wunda over floor heating (still to be fitted to manifold) magnaclean magnetic filter to protect the system and two nest smart stats (one to run underfloor heating in kitchen and one for the rads).

Another big job almost done, a few coats of paint and a couple of doors left to hang. We’ve done a lot here!
Attic ensuite - converted to office and added power points plus fully painted

Master bedroom - built a dividing wall between bedroom and stairs, created arch, coving, power points, skirting, painting and plastering

Landing - built some shelves in an unused fire recess, fitted new lights, painted right through including bannister and spindles, fit an attic hatch, ladder and boarded attic

2nd bedroom - we built a room in there to create an ensuite, fitted new doors, skirts, coving, dado rail, re painted, wall lights over the bed with dimmers, new light fitting and plastering

Ensuite - fitted new Combi boiler, built custom cupboard and door around it, sound proofed walls, plastered, tiled, and fitted suite as shown in pics.

Living room - removed existing rad, filled and painted the wall where it came off and fitted new column rad.

Outside - fully rebuilt soil stack to accommodate new ensuite and remove old one.

Sorry it’s been a while since you saw out work. We’ve been very busy! Complete renovation of a ground floor flat in cardiff.
We really started from scratch here right through:
New floors
New walls
New Plastering
Full rewire
Full wet central heating system with pipework hidden in skirting boards!
New doors
New skirting boards and architraves
New window sills
New fake chimney breast to house Tv
New kitchen
New bathroom
New ceilings
New lights
We didn’t fit the new fitted wardrobes but they look the business aswell!

❄ Christmas Schedule: Closed between 24th Dec and 4th Jan ❄

Although many of us have had our Christmas plans cancelled, the team at SJL Plumbing & Heating would just like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! 🎄 🎉

It's important that we try and remain positive and pull together to make sure 2021 is a much better year for everyone. 👊 There's a lot to look forward to!

Please be aware that we will be closed from Christmas Eve (the 24th December) and will be available again for bookings and callouts from the 4th January.
