As we are still getting many enquiries from folks wanting us to help them to build new or extend, we thought it sensible to issue our news once more.

The decision was made back in the Summer last year that TFDB would close the doors for good by Easter 2026. We have had a marvellous time helping all sorts of people realise their dream home over the past 12 years; but retirement and the freedom of the road beckons and we shall embark upon several "gap year" adventures whilst we are fit and healthy.

We have finished the last "dream home" we shall ever make and this will be loaded to transport on 6 February. We shall then be tidying up and clearing out .

Thank you to all our wonderful customers, suppliers and colleagues and to the friends made along the way. It has been a blast.

Make the most of life every day -that's what we are going to do 😃

After much heart searching we have decided that it is time to stop work and retire to set off to explore this World of ours. This means that Timber Frame Design & Build Ltd will be closing down at Easter 2026.

All of our existing customers have been advised and those who have projects that come to fruition before this date have chosen to stay with us – which makes us feel really good. But it does mean that we cannot accept any more timber frame manufacturing projects after 31 January 2026; and these must be delivered no later than 27 March 2026.

We are still here to offer advice to self-builders - wherever you may be on the “journey” to achieve your dream – with the usual fee of biscuits or cake; just give us a call and make arrangements to call in.

As usual, we are closed for the Christmas break from Friday 19 December 4.30pm, opening again on Monday 5 January at 9.00am

Thanks to the many clients we have had over the years that have allowed us to help them build their dream – it has been wonderful to have been included in your adventure and to have been entrusted to provide the framework your homes have been built upon

We shall miss meeting folks at the Wadebridge Home Show in October this year and sharing all your dreams and aspirations - but you can still phone us up or come to see us in Kelly Bray. You know the rules - you bring cake or biscuit; we make the tea or coffee. And we talk about your dream and how you can achieve it. See you soon 😀👍

Seeking recommendations for tradesmen near Callington. Roofer needed first starting early May approx 100m2 hipped roof on house and 30m2 on garage. Also small area of flat roof (GRP). Then of course all other trades needed: blocklayer/s, renderers, plasterers, electrician and plumber. Thank you folks for your info.

Finally the roof. This needs a two storey steel portal; a cranked stee;, glulam ridge beam and cut rafters. Great carp...
