Not every deck needs replacing.

This one just needed time, care, and attention to detail. We stripped it back, rebuilt what was needed, and restored it to its former glory.

There’s something satisfying about bringing quality timber back to life instead of sending it to landfill. 🌿🪵

Revisiting this huge decking project! 👌

This wasn’t just a fresh deck install—we had to lift every single board, rebuild the entire frame from scratch, then refit all of the existing decking.

Definitely one of the more testing jobs we’ve done. Getting every board back into the exact same pattern took time, patience and plenty of head scratching… but seeing the finished result made it all worthwhile.

Sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t building something new—it’s rebuilding it so well that nobody can tell it was ever taken apart. 💪

Not everything has to be brand new. 👌

Every time we revisit this garden, we get to see these beauties again. Built entirely from reclaimed, leftover materials that would otherwise have gone to waste.

A few spare bits of stone, a bit of creativity, and they’ve been transformed into a lovely little step leading into the grow garden.

Proof that one person’s leftovers can become another garden’s favourite feature. 🌿♻️

There’s no rushing this part. We take our time, check every line, every level, every joint… and make sure it’s absolutely spot on.

Once that first one is perfect, it’s full steam ahead. 🚀

Get the start right, and the rest takes care of itself.

Sleep. Eat. Lay. Repeat. 😮‍💨

Every slab. The same routine.
✅ Prime.
✅ Full mortar bed.
✅ Check the levels.
✅ Tap it home.
✅ Check it again.

No shortcuts. No rushing. Just repeating the process until every slab is exactly where it should be.

It’s not glamorous, might quite boring… but that’s how quality patios are built.

Play by play of this patio ramp. The levels had to be as they are for the client, but if we’re going to be meeting the different levels, we might as well do it with a bit of style. 😮‍💨

We opted for mitre cuts to carry the changes through cleanly maintaining a 5mm joint. Two (Three if counting the grey porcelain edge) different levels, tidy transitions, and a finish we’re pretty happy with.

Sometimes it’s the little details that make all the difference.
