Bank Holiday Monday job ticked off! ☀️

A nice little patio repair to start the week!

The existing patio needed a little TLC, so I lifted and repaired the damaged section, reusing the customer’s existing tiles to bring it all back together. 👌

A small fix, but it makes such a difference!

A great project to work on, taking this space through a full makeover and giving it a fresh new look. 👌🏼

We removed the existing patio and two flower beds, broke out the concrete underneath the retaining wall and removed half of the original step before getting everything prepared for the new patio.

🔨 MOT Type 1 installed and compacted
🧱 New retaining wall built using white mortar
🏡 Approximately 12m² of Raj Blend Indian Sandstone laid
✨ Cedar Green coping stones fitted to the brickwork
🪜 Original step rebuilt and finished off
🤍 Finished with Flowpoint Limestone grout

The result is a completely transformed outdoor space, with beautiful natural sandstone, new brickwork and a fresh, practical layout. 👌🏼

We are loving this transformation! ✨

Swipe through to the end to see the before! 👀➡️ What a difference!

A complete transformation of this outdoor space, creating a clean, modern and practical patio ready to be enjoyed. ☀️

🔨 What we did:
• Excavated the existing ground and prepared the area
• Laid and fully compacted MOT Type 1 for a solid foundation
• Installed 32m² of Landscape Grey Porcelain
• Installed 10 metres of ACO drainage, with the patio carefully formed to the correct fall to ensure efficient water drainage
• Finished with a limestone brickwork border for a smart, crisp edge

A huge transformation from start to finish! 🤩 The grey porcelain gives the space a modern feel, while the limestone brick border adds the perfect finishing touch.

Another big garden transformation completed by DAB Building & Landscaping! 👌🏼🌿

This one involved a complete makeover to create a modern, contemporary and much more usable outdoor space:

▪️ Installed all-new contemporary double-slat fencing
▪️ Added cat-proof fencing around the full perimeter 🐈‍⬛
▪️ Built a new gate with integrated cat-proof fencing
▪️ Kept the existing patio but lifted and relaid the lower section, bringing the whole patio area level
▪️ Completely stripped out the existing grass area
▪️ Installed a sleeper boarder between the patio and new lawn
▪️ Created a new BBQ patio area where the grass previously was, finished with a charcoal border 🔥
▪️ Fully prepared the ground and installed a fresh artificial lawn 🌱

The end result is a completely transformed garden with defined areas for relaxing, entertaining and enjoying the outdoors, while keeping it secure for the cats too! 🐈‍⬛❤️

The recent heatwave has definitely taken its toll on the grass, with gardens all over the place starting to look a little yellow! 🥵🌱

So for this front garden, we dug out the existing grass, prepared the area and laid a membrane ready for the new gravel finish.

We then finished the garden with 3 tonnes of grey limestone chippings, transforming the grassed area into a fresh, clean and low maintenance gravel garden. 🤩

A simple change, but what a difference! 🙌 The new gravel gives the garden a much tidier finish and means no more worrying about keeping the grass green through the hot summer months.

This driveway was holding surface water, so we installed a new ACO channel drain to improve drainage and help protect the property from standing water and runoff.

✅ Lifted and reinstated existing block paving

Here's where we're up to after this week's work:
✅ Ground excavated to the correct depth
✅ MOT Type 1 sub-base installed and fully compacted
✅ ACO drainage channel installed along the property
✅ First section of the porcelain patio laid and levelled
