One of the ongoing jobs that I have been working on lately. Plasters finished off the kitchen over the weekend so I was able to get the down lights cut in and fitted today. It took a little planning and careful measurement with the joist spacing between the new and old part which worked out very well. Old sockets re fitted until the customer has made their decision on colour and finish.

Second job of the day was to complete the full and final test of a recent Rewire that has been carried out over a period of time to fit in with other trades and different stages of the renovation. The third job of the day. To install new external lighting, installed externally to keep any disruption to the property minimal using Earth shield cables so perfect for outside installations. The existing outside lighting which was fed by ordinary twin and earth PVC cables that have deteriorated in the elements have been isolated in IP rated boxes but will now be removed.

First job today. A little out of Park maintenance at Silvertrees Holiday Park. Replace one of the coloured spotlights that illuminate the deer statues.. oh and deer proof the cables with steel strip, everything needs deer proofing here.. they’ll chew anything 🦌😆

I had to pop out the weekend to customer who I have done a few jobs for over the years. She told me she could hear a fizzing noise coming from the garage so I said I would pop around to have a look and I am glad I did. I came across one of my pet hates which is when someone stuffs open terminals into ceiling voids because they won’t or don’t want to fit put them inside the light fitting. All electrical enclosures are there as a back up if something comes loose as well as stopping anyone or anything touching live terminals. I temporarily made it safe and now have replaced them with a couple of tri colour LED fittings

Antler view Lodge, the latest and probably my favourite addition to Silvertrees Holiday Parks hire fleet. It’s been an absolute pleasure to have assisted in the siting of this one taking care of the electrical side of things including installing and connecting the submain, the external power supply, the internal lighting, the linking of the two halves and of course the trace heating to keep it operational all year round. It really is one of the nicest I have ever seen.
