• Civil engineering

• Highways
• Housebuilding infrastructure

The role would involve:

✔ Identifying upcoming projects
✔ Building relationships with developers, groundworks contractors and civil engineering firms
✔ Getting us onto approved supplier lists
✔ Assisting with tender opportunities and quotations
✔ Helping develop a steady pipeline of work

Another project completed by KG Tarmac Ltd in the Cardiff area of South Wales.

We recently carried out patchwork repairs and pothole reinstatements around a local disability school, cutting out and preparing all defective areas before applying a tack coat every few meters as we moved along keeping mess to a minimum and then resurfacing with 10mm surface course material.

We also transformed the footprint of a recently demolished building into additional staff parking spaces, helping to improve access and usability across the site.

These temporary improvement works have been undertaken to ensure the area remains safe and operational ahead of a full resurfacing scheme planned for the coming months.

Throwback Thursday 🤗

Back to a very warm day on site 3 years ago in may ☀️

The lads were absolutely smashing out sections of binder driveways on a brand new development before the building works had even begun.

These temporary surfaced areas gave the site a safe, solid space for material storage and access while the build got underway!

Was a Top effort from the whole team working through the heat and keeping the job moving 👊

Another project recently completed for a customer in Swansea.

The customer wanted to make better use of the available space at the rear of the property for parking, while keeping the project practical and cost effective. The area, which previously consisted of gravel, old paving slabs, and broken concrete blocks, was transformed into a safe, durable, and attractive parking area.

A porous surfacing material was used to improve drainage and help prevent standing water, reducing the risk of icy patches during the winter months and creating a safer surface underfoot all year round.

We also added a small ramp way in front of the edgings to reduce damage and safer entry with whatever tarmac we had left over.
