A modern aluminium upgrade completed by MK Glazing!
This project involved replacing an original open walkway between the house and conservatory with a sleek white aluminium single door and full-height fixed side screen.
By enclosing the opening, we've created a bright, practical link between the two spaces while maintaining an open feel thanks to the large glazed side panel. The slim aluminium frames maximise the glass area, allowing plenty of natural light to flow through, while providing excellent thermal efficiency, security, and weather protection.

The existing transom window above the door has been retained, preserving the character of the original entrance while allowing natural light into the hallway. We carried out a full glass change, removing the old failed units that were heavily misted up with condensation and replacing them with fresh, clear sealed units. This not only improves the appearance straight away but also boosts insulation and overall performance.
Care was taken to preserve the original wooden frame, maintaining the character of the property while upgrading the glazing to modern standards. All units were securely fitted and sealed, leaving a clean, tidy finish ready for decoration if needed.
