I cut a hedgehog hole for a lady in Roath (optimistically, because she's surrounded by paved gardens) and she's sent me this footage from the trail camera!! 😁😁😁

Massive thank you to all my lovely clients for the cold drinks and ice lollies these past few days!🥤🧊🍉🥰 And for being so understanding when I've had to rearrange some jobs because of the heat.

I've seen roofers working with no shade at all yesterday, and exhausted bin crews in the heat this afternoon 😟
If you've got tradespeople working today, spare a thought and a cold drink! It really goes a long way 💧🧊

Planting day complete! 🌱 🌱 🌱 🌱 😴

The lovely brief for this design was to make this garden more bird-friendly. It's so nice to see the birds using the new rowan tree already! There's lots more shelter, flowers for pollinators, seedheads and berries. And it looks pretty nice too, if I do say so myself! 😊

Next step will be a pond 🐸 🐸 🐸

Feeling proud today 😊🌿

Some of you will know that alongside work, I've been studying for my RHS Level 3 qualification.

RHS Level 3 is an advanced horticultural qualification, equivalent to head gardener level. (Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere - I just love learning about plants! 😊)

Anyway, I got my first exam result back… I got a distinction! 🙌 🎉

Nesting season is approaching 🐣
So if you have any hedges or bushes that the birds love, now is the time to cut them safely.

These are two beautiful old nests that I came across in gardens last week, in a pyracantha and a climbing rose. Songbirds don't usually use the same nest twice, but I've left them in place just in case.
