When you watch something on screen and think "how did they even do that?", the answer is often a team like Real SFX LTD.

Carmela Carrubba and Danny Hargreaves have run one of the UK's leading practical effects companies since 2008, creating the fire, storms and floods that make a scene land, including work on the Peaky Blinders finale. And they do it with sustainability built in, which in this industry is no small thing.

Carmela and Danny were named Wales' 2025 Creative Entrepreneur of the Year, and they're exactly the kind of founder this community is full of. 🏆

Over 5,000 applications. Founders who backed themselves, shared their story, and put their hand up to be recognised. That takes courage, and we are grateful for every single one.
