It can be done by the house-owner- as long as they have the correct safety equipment however- why risk it? We have all the equipment to clean your guttering from the ground. We also have cameras that can see into your gutters and check they are all clear and running correctly. However- as a upvc roofline installer primarily- we can also check the health of your guttering and fix any faulty joints or alignment issues.

What should be installed behind a new roofline?
The finished fascia and soffits are only part of the installation.
On this property in Cardiff, we removed the old roofline and installed a complete new white uPVC fascia and soffit system with black guttering.
As part of the installation, you’ll see two important components that are hidden once the job is complete:
✔ Eaves protection trays to support the roof felt and help direct rainwater into the gutter.
✔ Over fascia ventilation to allow air to enter the roof space, helping to reduce condensation and maintain healthy roof ventilation.
These are the details many homeowners never see, but they’re an important part of a professionally installed roofline that’s designed to perform for years to come.

These two boards are not the same.
At first glance, they may look similar, but they’re designed for completely different purposes.
A replacement fascia board is designed to replace the original timber fascia after it’s been removed.
A cover board is designed to be fitted over existing timber that is still in good structural condition.
On this property in Crosskeys, parts of the original timber had already been covered over while other areas remained exposed. The roofline had reached the point where a complete replacement was the best long-term solution.
We removed the existing roofline and installed:
• White uPVC fascia and soffits
• Black guttering
• A professionally fitted replacement roofline system built for long-term performance
