The things us landscapers do!! 😂

Wading through lakes, pond w**d and silt while swallowing the odd flying bug or two are just some of the challenges landscapers face! We love it really though! 😆

Here I am wading through the lake to find the pump, that feeds the pond, further up the garden. The pressure was low and on discovery of the pump, we found it was covered in silt! It was too close to the bank so I placed some more slabs underneath to raise it up. The flow was instantly much faster and back to how it should be!

This water feature we installed a couple of years ago had a developed a slow flow rate so we did these 3 things to help it flow correctly again.

1. We cleared any debris that had gathered around the pump since it had been installed.

2. We raised the platform the pump was sat on to help increase the water flow.

3. We rodded the feed in from the well to ensure it that wasn’t blocked.

Just by doing these 3 things, we got the pump flowing again fairly quickly. 👍

Excavating and metal detecting can bring up some fantastic finds. We were checking the ground for large metal objects before starting the work on the pitch, and found these interesting items. Plus the ground underneath the soil was also hiding an archaeological build. Keep watching til the end and let us know what you think this area used to be? 👀
