What are the different types?
🔹 EPDM Wet Pour – A seamless, hard-wearing coloured rubber surface, ideal for creating a bright, clean and professional finish. Available in a huge range of colours, blends and bespoke designs.
⚫ SBR Rubber Crumb – Commonly used as the impact-absorbing base layer beneath EPDM. Often made from recycled rubber and installed at varying depths depending on the required level of impact protection.
🟢 Single-Layer EPDM – A thinner decorative and durable EPDM surface, ideal where a softer, slip-resistant finish is required but a deep impact-absorbing system is not needed.
🌳 Rubber Mulch / Rubber Bark – A more natural-looking alternative, perfect for woodland play areas, parks, pathways and garden spaces.
The thickness and specification can also be tailored to suit the application, particularly around play equipment where Critical Fall Height (CFH) requirements need to be considered.
