Phase 1 & 2 complete, and what a finish it’s been! 🏗️🌟

From foundations to final fit-out, the MacInnes Bros team has helped bring Cnoc Soilleir to life in South Uist — and we’re more than a little proud of how it’s turned out.

Swipe through for a peek behind the scenes: those rainbow-hued timber battens, handmade by MIB joiners, catching the island light (recognise those hills 👀?), cosy window seats made for tea & chats, an auditorium ready for standing ovations, and even a glimpse into the plant room and AV racks that keep it all humming quietly out of sight (the unsung heroes of any build!). 🤌🏻

There’s something pretty special about seeing a project go from a cardboard model on a meeting room table to a fully-fledged Centre for Music, Dance and Gaelic Culture. Buildings like this don’t just serve a community - they help keep its language and culture alive for generations to come. Or, as the wall in reception puts it best: “Is fheàrr teine beag a gharas na teine mòr a loisgeas” - better a small fire that warms than a big one that burns. ✨
