Our team has concluded the initial planting of the attenuation pond commissioned by Story Homes in Seaton. This critical step involved the strategic placement of nearly 1,800 native reed specimens to enhance the pond's ecological function.
We are scheduled to return next week to sow a mix of native wildflower seed, anticipating that the site will develop into a significant and flourishing habitat for local wildlife and plant life within the next year.

This house was built in 1787 so it didn't seem right to use imported stone.

These lazonby sandstone flags are contemporary to the building, quarried locally and were recovered from the garden, it took a while to lift them and it will take a while to lay them.

That's a semi-dry concrete base, I'll forgoe the primer - this stone is 3 inches thick!

Finished this deck renewal today, the original deck was well built but had a couple of issues: At the far end was a void in the wall and the original boards had been set inside the void slightly, over time water had run down the wall and rotted the deck out - no idea why it was done this way but it was...

Second major issue was the storage shed beneath the staircase, roofed with OSB and a roofing membrane that acted like a sponge and held water, the green algal bloom on the walls tells the tale.

Managed to reuse the balustrade system and am very pleased with the result. With some aftercare I see no reason why this deck won't last at least another 15 years and potentially much longer than that.

A little project we completed in Brampton in November, the garden was difficult to maintain with the raised lawn and deteriorated paving causing access issues.
The aim was to create a garden that was accessible, easy to maintain and in-keeping with the character of the house.
