BDL has won Best Conversion for Abbey School for Exceptional Children in Chester in the People and Place Awards.
It was a joy working with the whole design and construction team and now that great collaborative effort has been recognised at the North West Regional awards. We are looking forward to the Nationals in January!

2020 involved a lot of unexpected changes for us all, but despite this we managed to see some projects complete through excellent team work. 2021 has started in exactly the same way, but we are excited about some future projects getting underway with both existing and new Client's.

Looking back on our most recently completed school on World Teachers Day.
From concept to completion on a Grade 2* listed buildings to state of the art SEND school for exceptional children and their fantastic teachers and their support staff!

At a recent conversation of listed Grade 2* building has allowed us to work with some fine craftsmen (and women), whose attention to detail has been outstanding.
The resulting finish has meant the building is suitable for use without compromising the beauty of the building.

Exciting plans are afoot for a new build project. BDL have a wealth of experience to rely upon but we always look to listen and learn from our Clients to make it the very best design and this project is no exception!

At BDL we take a 'Fabric First' approach to all our projects. We take time to include the very best thermally efficient products on the market to make every building as energy efficient as we possibly can.
This is applied as effectively to our smaller domestic projects, as well as larger multi-use residential schemes.
This approach has led us to start developing an exciting propotype 'Eco House' with a forward thinking developer.

It has been a great experience working with a visionary Client, innovative Consultants and an excellent Construction team, on a challenging Grade 2* building in Chester City centre.

It was a privilege this week to hand over the keys to a wonderful Client who gave us the opportunity to create a state of the art SEN school in a 250 year old grade 2* buildings in the centre of Chester.
A fantastic team pulled together to create an exceptional school for exceptional children.
