Evidence of house mouse activity found at this property whilst carrying out a survey following a leak 🐭

During the inspection, signs of house mouse activity were identified, including evidence of gnawing and chewing damage. Mice constantly gnaw to keep their teeth worn down, which can result in damage to wood, plastics, pipework, insulation, and even electrical cables.

Leaks and damp areas can also create ideal conditions for pests by providing access to water and undisturbed harbourage areas.

A good reminder that sometimes one issue can uncover another and why a thorough survey is always worthwhile 🐁

Bees safely relocated from the roof and transferred into the care of our beekeeper 🐝

Bees play a vital role in our ecosystem, helping to pollinate plants, crops, and wildflowers that support both wildlife and food production. That’s why, wherever possible, our priority is always preservation and safe relocation.

In this case, the colony was in a location where action was necessary, but thanks to careful planning and the support of our beekeeper, the bees have been given a new home where they can continue doing what they do best 🌼

A great outcome for both the property owner and the bees.

Timelapse of a honey bee removal and relocation carried out by our trained team alongside a beekeeper 🐝

Every step was done carefully, calmly, and with the welfare of the bees as the priority throughout.

Most bee activity is best left alone where possible, but in situations where there’s a direct safety concern, safe relocation may be necessary.

More information about bees, relocation, and what to do if you find a nest can be found on our website. 🐝

Honey bee removal and safe relocation carried out from above this young lad’s bedroom 🐝

Most of the time, bees are best left alone and will often move on naturally. But in some situations especially where there’s a direct safety concern inside a property relocation becomes necessary.

In this case, the colony was safely removed and relocated with welfare always the priority 🐝

We’ve added more information to our website about what to do if you find a bee nest, when action may be needed, and why bees are so important to our ecosystem 🐝

One of the biggest mistakes people make with pests is waiting until the problem becomes obvious 👀

A scratching noise in the loft. A few droppings. A wasp or two. A strange smell.

They’re often the first warning signs that something bigger is going on behind the scenes.

The earlier a pest issue is identified, the easier it is to deal with, the less damage it can cause, and the more options there are to prevent it becoming a larger infestation.

If something doesn’t seem quite right, it’s always worth getting it checked 👍

Solar panel proofing carried out for these neighbours to help prevent pigeons nesting beneath the panels 🐦

The whole area was thoroughly cleaned and deodorised before proofing was installed. This is really important because nesting materials, feathers, and guano can leave strong scent trails that encourage birds to return to the same spot.

Pigeons under solar panels can lead to noise, blocked gutters, hygiene concerns, large amounts of mess, and even damage to solar panels and wiring if left unchecked.

Proofing helps protect both the property and the solar system long-term.

The wasp call-outs have officially started 🐝📞

At the moment, most of the nests we’re seeing are still relatively small, but that can change very quickly.

This time of year, a queen wasp emerges from hibernation and starts building a nest on her own. She’ll create the first few cells, lay eggs, and care for the first generation of workers herself.

Once those worker wasps hatch, they take over the nest-building duties while the queen focuses on laying more eggs. From there, the colony can grow rapidly, with some nests reaching thousands of wasps by the end of the season 😬

That’s why a small nest in June can become a very different situation a few weeks later.

If you’re noticing increased wasp activity around your property, it’s always worth keeping an eye on where they’re coming and going from 👀
